Parallel Alternative Strategies for Students

By jcalhoun - Posted on 06 March 2010

PASS curricula on a wide variety of topics from the state of Florida, originally designed for high school exceptional students, but make good material for younger kids without special needs as well due to presentation of the concepts in simpler language. “Parallel Alternative Strategies for Students (PASS) volumes are unique, supplemental materials written to help students with various learning needs achieve success in the classroom. The student volumes are presented in an easy-to-understand format for students seeking a standard diploma. The information is written by the Curriculum Improvement Project team in a manner that offers more understanding in less time. The PASS materials provide resources for teaching courses without changing essential content. The teacher guides give exciting teacher suggestions to stimulate student interest with thought-provoking activities. These inexpensive, ready-to-use resources may be reproduced or used as a workbook.”

Park Days

Our members regularly plan park days for free play and social interaction (for parents as well as kids!).  Please check our calendar regularly for scheduled park days.

Field Trips

Our members plan a lot of field trips!  We invite you to see the list of activities that our members have provided in the past.  We would love to have you volunteer and organize trips that interest you!  The options are limited only by your imagination and willingness to organize.  Check out our calendar to see what we have scheduled for this year.
