The Charlotte Museum of History is holding its Colonial Fair, which includes demonstrations of games and Colonial skills and crafts. I think they sell some crafts too.   Charlie is a junior docent and will be working at “games and woodturning” from 1PM to 3PM and he looks really cute in his costume!   It costs just regular museum admittance ($6, less for students and seniors, free for really little kids.)   -Jody   This is info from the website of the Charlotte Museum of History:   April 18, 2009: Colonial Fair   Time: 11:00am-4:00pm   Ring in the spring with our Colonial Fair. See local artisans practice crafts that celebrate Charlotte's   historic past as you search for unique gifts. Enjoy a day full of revelry with games and historic   demonstrations. Children can participate in hands-on activities and play games. Confirmed artisans and demonstrators include colonial basket weaving, historic maps, colonial cooking, leatherworking, woodcrafting, loom weaving, aboriginal skills, blacksmithing, Catawba pottery, wood carving, paper marbling, and historic herb demonstrations.   Fee: Regular museum admission. Registration is not required, but a group tour rate of ten or more with advance registration is available.
