Scholars of Grace Co-op is accepting applications for Fall 2009. We are an academic co-op for all ages infants -12th grade. Our core curriculum is Tapestry of Grace, which covers history, geography, church history, Bible, philosophy, fine arts, and government. An IEW-certified Accomplished Instructor teaches writing using Institute for Excellence in Writing materials. Electives include Apologia Science (General, Physical, Biology, Chemistry), Communicators for Christ speech/debate, CLEP prep, and a variety of offerings for younger students. There is no cost to core classes other than a supply fee as all moms make a contribution of some kind involving their love, energy, and prayers. Some electives, however, will include a fee. We will meet Tuesdays at Brookdale Baptist Church in Concord . Our core day is from 9:15 to 1:30, after which time we will hold our electives. Our goals include:   ---Fostering in students a Christian worldview.   ---Providing for moms and students a community of mutual encouragement, support, and accountability in which students can develop godly friendships that call them higher and that foster enthusiasm, both in their studies and in their relationship with God.   ---Providing opportunities for games, discussions, projects, and presentations to enhance and develop joy in learning.   ---Providing older students a forum for Socratic discussion, analysis, and exchange of ideas utilizing a Christian worldview in all subjects. Developing strong research, writing and public speaking skills, as well as critical thinking and independent study skills.
