Thought you all might be interested in the what's going on in the life of a former home-schooler. .. Please come to a dessert at our home on Wednesday, September 2, at 7 PM for Quentin Ruiz-Esparza, who is preparing to go to Thailand for a year to serve with International Justice Mission (www.ijm.org) . Quentin graduated in May from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. We'd love for you to meet Quentin and learn about the heart and vision of IJM and Quentin's part in it. To quote from the IJM web site: International Justice Mission is a human rights agency that secures justice for victims of slavery, sexual exploitation and other forms of violent oppression. IJM lawyers, investigators and aftercare professionals work with local governments to ensure victim rescue, to prosecute perpetrators and to strengthen the community and civic factors that promote functioning public justice systems. Quentin will be working with a Thai team to establish citizenship rights and work towards preventing human trafficking. As a missions intern, he is dependent upon the financial giving of others in order to work in Thailand. If you can join us, please email or call. We'd love to see you. Thanks!
