First Day of Clay Camp at Mudslingers

   CLAY CAMP FOR KIDS   There is something magical about children when they are thinking and working creatively.  At Mud Slingers Clay Camp for Kids, they can experiment with a variety of clay hand building techniques while they learn to think about their ideas and apply them to the shape and structure of their creations. We inspire the young people to enjoy the pride that comes with accomplishment and the joy of working and cooperating with others.   Spend one week from 9:00 - 11:30 AM at Mud Slingers Pottery creating hand-built clay items.  During this camp, kids (7-11) will learn to make pinch pots, coiled pots, small sculpted animals as well as projects with clay slabs.  Tools and materials will be provided.  Class is limited to 10 kids on a first come, first served basis.   New projects will be introduced each day to demonstrate clay building techniques.  Projects will be glazed on Friday.  Pottery will be fired and ready for pick up within two weeks.           July 13 - 17, 2009 ~ Monday through Friday ~ 9:00 AM - 11:30 AM Mud Slingers Pottery & Glass Studio 9 Union Street N Suite 150 Concord, NC  28025 704-796-1600 Cost:  $100.00 per child   Registration - Form may be found on the Registration Form   Go to Classes and click on Children's Classes Contact:        Rachel Rogers                   704-796-1600                    mudslingerspottery@carolina.rr.com www.mudslingerspotterync.com
