The Cabarrus County Home School Association (CCHSA) is a  nonprofit, non-denominational Christian home school support group dedicated to providing options, tools, and encouragement to home educators and their families.

CCHSA hosts regular meetings/activities. Some activities (like gymnastics) meet once a week. Field trips and other activities are planned throughout the year.

CCHSA was founded by families who chose to home school, at least in large part, because they desired to assure godly influences upon the lives of their children. CCHSA is not a church but all decisions are approached from a Biblical perspective. While we do not wish to exclude any home schooling families in our community, we reserve the right to plan and carry out activities in accordance with traditional Biblical standards.  Our desire is to display the best possible image of home education to our community while acting in a way that will be glorifying to God.

Benefits of membership include educational and social opportunities, sharing of resources, updates on legal issues and requirements, group privileges and discounts as well as mentoring and group support.

Our website is designed to provide information to families in the Cabarrus County area who are interested in homeschooling and to provide information to our support group members. Communication within the membership of the CCHSA primarily happens on our BigTent Group Site, which provides for our group discussion forums, event and calendar management, news feeds, and several other communication mechanisms which facilitate the day-to-day interactions of our association members.  We also provide a Facebook group for our members who prefer to use FB.
