The Connection Homeschool Enrichment Co-op was spearheaded in 2015 with the hope to connect homeschooling families together. Our mission is to build community, provide enjoyable and educational enrichment classes that empower children to embrace, foster, and lead in the multi-ethnic world, and create unity by being a reflection of Christ to each other and our community.
We seek to create a close-knit community in which children of all ethnicities see themselves represented and celebrated in the stories they are exposed to and activities in which they participate. Our desire is that our co-op will be a model of diversity and unity in which we reflect the beauty in all mankind and empower our children to lead and engage in the multi-ethnic world in which we live. We believe that we are all image bearers of Christ and He created us with ethnic diversity as an expression of His manifold beauty.
The Connection offers hands-on, fun, and educational parent-led enrichment classes, field trips, and opportunities to serve the community. Within this cooperative model, families can pool their resources to offer quality classes and responsibilities can be shared amongst the group.
The Connection meets for classes twice per month, on Wednesdays, from September until April and one additional Wednesday each month for a field trip or community service opportunity.
Informational meetings are held in April and May, with application deadline in May.
